I am a PhD student from the Dominican Republic. With a scholarship from the government, I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the Pontifical Catholic University Mother and Teacher (PUCMM) Santiago campus, DR, where I received several awards and recognitions for academic performance. Later, I received a scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology in the DR (Mescyt) to pursue my Master’s studies in Advanced Studies in Chemistry at the University of Seville, where I met Professor Jesús Angulo and his research group. Upon completing my Master’s, I applied for and received a Marie Curie Actions-Doctoral Network (MSCA-DN) fellowship to continue my studies in biomolecular interactions and structural glycobiology in Jesús Angulo’s laboratory in Seville. Now, I am working on my doctoral thesis in the project “GlyCanDrug: A training network on the design of precision therapeutics that target key glycan motifs implicated in cancer.” My thesis focuses on structural and dynamic studies of complexes of bioactive molecules with GTs and scFv antibodies using NMR. In my free time, I enjoy reading, exploring new places with friends, engaging in physical activity, and appreciating nature.
