Chiara Mangini

I graduated in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies from the University of Pisa, and I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemical Science at the University of Florence within the research group of Professor Barbara Richichi. My research focuses on the synthesis of a biocompatible nanomaterial based on nanocrystalline cellulose and its functionalization with small biological molecules (such as carbohydrates, and peptides) to enable active tumor targeting. During my academic journey, I had the opportunity to spend 3 months in the group of Jesús Angulo, where I gained valuable hands-on experience in various STD-NMR techniques and molecular docking. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, listening to music, and spending time with my friends.
