I grew up in Hamburg, Germany and performed my bachelor as well as master degree in Molecular Life Science at the University of Luebeck. During my master programm I performed two three months long internships, one at the Leipnitz Lung Research Centere in Borstel (Germany), where I performed multiplexing of human lung tissue infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. For my second internship as well as my master thesis I worked with with Prof. Christoph Rademacher at the Univeristy of Vienna on the C-type lectin DC-SIGN. In oct ’23 I started my PhD here in Sevilla with Jesus Angulo as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions GlycoNoVi.

My work is embedded in the MSCA GlycoNoVi and focuses on the exploration of the chemical space around fucosylated Human Blood Group Antigens (HBGAs) and Human Milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs) as potential drug targets against the binding receptor (P-Dimer) of known and emerging Noroviruses.
